City Lounge: London (Book Two, Chapter Fifteen: Train Vibe)

Chapter Fifteen: Train Vibe:

-Paul-

I couldn’t sleep that night. My mind went back to my song. I had the base secured, but I still had other elements missing from it. I turned onto my back in bed. There was only one way to fix this and be able to get to sleep. I jumped out of bed and got dressed. The only things I took with me were my iPod, cell phone, and keys. I left my front light on as I left  my flat.

When was the last time I did this? I shoved my hands into my pockets. My neighbour worried about me walking around so late at night. Even more so since the terror attacks in France. She keeps trying to give pepper spray when I walk out the door. (I keep telling her that I will be fine. But she never listens. I don’t know what to do with her.) More

Noizchild and Office 365 are Getting Divorced (Maybe)

Yeah, you read that right. Office 365 and I might be breaking up. I’ve tried everything to get it to work, but it just failed on me. If you have to fight with a writing program to keep it from crashing every time you save, it’s time to wait for the new model. (Word 2019 is coming out next year.)

For now, I am using OpenOffice. It’s just like Word without some of the fancy features. I am coping with it and I like it. If I can figure out how to get it to the save point of where I typed and how to show my word count at the bottom, it would be perfect. For now, I will wait and you can…

Progress Update

Here is a little update on my progress with my work:

  • Chapter one of Steel Prison edited!
  • Still fixing all of the pictures and music on my web site.
  • Still waiting for Webs to fix its file manager problem so that I can finish moving my site back.
  • Finishing up some projects.
  • Started a new story.
  • Still writing my WIP’s.
  • Will resume City Lounge shortly. (I’m about to wrap up book two of London and start book two of New York).

That’s it for now. Meanwhile, you can…

City Lounge: London (Book Two, Chapter Eleven: Dodging the Ex)

Chapter Eleven: Dodging the Ex:

We were just about to head out of the Fish and Chip shop when I happened to look across the street. Sophie turned around and saw me frozen with an expression of terror on my face.

“Paul, what’s the matter?” she asked. I tired to speak as I pointed across the street.  Sophie slowly turned her head. A woman with bright ponytail pigtails walked out of a jewelry store. Her bright pink miniskirt was long enough to cover her arse. Her big boobs looked like they would pop out of her pink boob tube. The woman looked around as if looking for a cab. I jumped behind Sophie and ducked down. She turned and looked at me More

It’s Time to Wrap Up Things

Ever look at piece of work and go, “Yeah, it’s time to wrap you up.” I am going to end a draft that I have been working on since 2009. I think I will finish it on Wednesday. I will have see how I feel.

Things have been going to slow at my job. I’m hoping that it picks up again. I’m still fixing the pictures on my site. I need to fix the pictures in this blog too. The progress is moving along, however. I am just about to finish fixing up the main pages on the main site. I still have to work on the smaller sections, but I know I can do it. Edits for Steel Prison is coming along nicely and I think I like Taylor Swift’s new song. (I don’t really care about her, but the song’s good in a way. I’m using it to write a chapter for my story, Devil’s Scandal, tomorrow.) I can’t wait to write more for my Wasteland 2011 project this week. I get to start on the D.Gray-Man section this Thursday.

That’s about it for now, I think. You will see more of the City Lounge: London soon next month. For now…

City Lounge: London (Book Two, Chapter Five: Sassy Jasmine)

Chapter Five: Sassy Jasmine:

I made it back to flat again. I had planned on working on my music, but the pillow had other plans. Once I hit that bed, I was knocked out.

By noon, I heard my door buzz from the hallway. I narrowed my eyes as I lifted my head. What do you want, Jay? Why can’t you let me rest for at least ten minutes? You just dragged me along to the club. The buzzing didn’t stop and I groaned.

“Coming,” I grumbled. I had to drag myself out of bed and walk down the hall.

“Yeah?” I asked as I opened the door. To my surprise, a short and curvy black woman with sunglasses stood in front of me. She looked up at me, grinning. I blinked at first. More

City Lounge: London (Book Two, Chapter Four: Sophie the Queen)

Chapter Four: Sophie the Queen:

-Paul-

Even tonight, Sophie still has a strange effect on me. Seeing her face changed my plans for tonight. Initially, I had just planned to go with the flow of playing crappy pop music for the ladies tonight. (My soul was dying in the process). But when I saw her face on the monitors above, something inside of me took over. I began to think about my own music. That day with Sophie started up my passion for music again.

Before I knew it, my fingers took over the DJ Booth. Something inside of me told me not think, but feel. I counted down to when the last Sam Smith song played out. My mind chanted Massive Attack.

Massive Attack. Massive Attack. Massive Attack Massive Attack. Massive Attack!

Before I knew it, “Angel” started floating through the club. More

I am a Bit Stuck

I have a bit of a problem. No, I already fixed the Photobucket one. I’m talking about the one for the main site.

I started out at Webs, but then it started to have problems. So, I moved to Neocities. That was great for a while, but it started to conflict with Photobucket in Chrome and Firefox. So, I went back to Webs. That was going fine until my files stopped loading and I couldn’t get the upload function to work. And they haven’t done anything to fix it. I can’t even reach them and they aren’t responding to my various complaints. I’m thinking that it’s time to move back to Neocities or find another server if the problems aren’t sorted. Anyone know of web servers that are free and will let me upload files? I’m open for suggestions. For now…

Not Much to Say

I couldn’t really think about more to write tonight. I have a couple of projects coming up. Work is going really well lately. My cable is gone, but I will get it back when I make enough money. I started watching Misfits and season two of Animals. Other than that, that’s about it. I didn’t really plan this week’s post out. Maybe next week will be better, but for now…

New Book Publishing in the Works

Good news, everyone!

Sometime in June and July, I will be publishing a book that I have been sitting on for years. The title will be called Steel Prison. I have been it through Nano and the now-defunct Autonomy. I will have it beta read to get it polished up one more time. (It’s been edited a good number of times. I forgot how many.) There was a cover for it on Autonomy, but I think I lost that one. I made a cover during my college years for like a hard cover copy for a digital photo editing class, but it’s the wrong image format. Speaking of hard covers, this might be my first book that I will have made into a hard copy along with ebook. I will see if that turns and if it is possible.

Stick around and see everything unfold, until then…
