Wasteland Withdrawals

It feels weird. I’m not working on any of the main stories from the Wasteland Project this week. I cannot wait until frickin’ June to start again. So, what am I going to do? What else? Write some original pieces to go with it. Here’s what I have on tap:

Suburban Island will be back next week on the seventh of February. Season one is on Wattpad.

I started a short series called Okami last night. The summary goes like this:

A young Okami girl starts to have visions leading her on a quest to find her mother along the East African wild. Along the way, she will meet others like her hearing a similar calling. What can it all mean? Is there a connection? As they seek the answer, they must be careful. There will be other wolves and hunters crying for blood.

New chapter will be next Sunday.

There will be some short original pieces too. I’m working on one right now called Alisa. I might write another tomorrow, I will have to see. For now…

So Many Ideas and Plans. Where Do I Start?

I will be wrapping season seven of the Wasteland Project next week. But, I still want to expand the universe. Last year, I did it with Suburban Island and Night Hawks. I started listening to the Maeltopia podcast and I want to do an expanded universe with my work too. I have so many ideas, but I don’t know where to start.

I have ideas for quicky shorts. I want to mix Japanese and African mythology for a story about wolves. Plus, there will be a season two of Suburban IslandNight Hawks will get a second season three chapters too. I still need to come up with a Wasteland omake too. I have so much to fill until the last Monday of June. I have other stuff not related to the Wasteland Project. Stick around for that. Until then…

Status Report: Camp is Winding Down

There are seven days left in camp. The Patient X story keeps getting longer, but I will try to wrap it up by tomorrow or Wednesday. Then, I will try to finish those last two stories in the collection to meet my 50,000 word count. Suburban Island will end in two days. I got scouted for a publishing collection. I think I have the story in mind that I want to publish. I will look over it when I finish Patient X.

Next month, I am working on a short story related to the Wasteland project. I will post it on Inkitt on May 19th. Plus, there are some other stories to finish. I am counting down to June so that I can work on season seven on of the Wasteland Project. Right now, I will see how much I get done from the rest of the week because I have jury duty.  (Fun, right?) I am confident about finishing Patient X and Suburban Island this week and on time. For now…

Publishing Plans in the Making

I am in the middle of Camp Nanowrimo here. (I’m half way through the month.) I am working on a story called Patient X from the collection. I am enjoying how this is turning out so far. I am playing with the idea of publishing it when I get it all polished up and published on Amazon.

What is it about? It’s about a hitman in a mental hospital who’s under a curse of where every time he kills someone, he inherits the worst of their traits. He’s talking to his therapist about how he ended up this way. I keep adding more days to write out this story. I’m writing it so much that I am worried that I won’t get enough time to write the last two stories in the collection. Stick around for that. While you wait…

Camp is Running!

So, I have the first two stories down for Camp. I had to play catch-up. (It’s kind of hard to stay focused when you work from home too.) But, the stories are done. I have ideas for about four or five more. I struggled with the title for a little bit. I was surprised that my cabin filled up the way it did. But, it’s going good so far.

Here is the information about my project:

Title: Cerberus’ Carnage (It might change again if I can come up with something better.)

Genre: Horror/Supernatural

Type: Short stories

Goal: 50,000 words

Summary: This is just a collection of horror stories with one to two characters in one setting.

I will let everyone know about the progress next one. For now…

Happy 4th Everyone and Presenting… Love Addict!

Happy Independence Day! How was your Fourth? Mine was okay. I ate food, but I didn’t really get to see fireworks. Oh well, maybe next year. Still, I got work done. Oh and saw the first new episode of D.Gray-Man Hallow. I love it! The animation and the voice actors are different. Someone complained about them, but I told them that artists often change style because they need to grow in their craft and they probably couldn’t get the same cast to do the voice roles. I thought the voices fit the characters. Overall, I can’t wait to see the next episode next week. Now, I have more thing to do.

I also cleaned out the vent of my laptop. I had no idea that I let dust build up that badly for close to seven years now. It was so gross too. Eww! Now, Pinky can breathe much better and not overheat on me when I play Sims 4. Yay!
I only have five more books left to re-format and re-publish. Soon, I will go back to publishing new books. The next book up is Weekender. Expect to see that some time this month or the next. For now…

I was Off-Focus Last Week

Last week, I could not focus on my writing. I have no idea what happened. I either found myself bored with the draft or I was too busy. I had two birthdays to celebrate last week. (My grandfather and my mother’s). My work wasn’t as great as I wanted it to be. Somehow, the distractions will probably carry over into this week too if I am not careful. Still, I will try to stay on task and get them done on time. More

I Will Work ASAP

One of the edits came back for me. Hapless Cupid Volume Two will be out in October. I am thinking about publishing on the first week of October. I am thinking between the fifth and seventh at best. Also, hopefully I will have Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked by next month as well. I want to get out a couple of short stories out and published next month as well. Maybe, I might have another book, Fall Semester, coming out between October and November.

Here’s hoping that October will be just as productive as August was.

Don’t forget to submit work for LGBT Scream this month at noizchild@yahoo.com. There are only two days later. I look forward to hearing from you.
