Building Up Professional Connections

So, I decided to branch out a little bit. I dusted off my Linkedin profile and started a Google+ account. The reason is that I need more of stronger income. More money means that I can do more things to promote myself. I could get a professional editor, book cover designer, and make publish some physical copies of the books.

I created my Google+ account to attach to my profile at my job. I updated my Linkedin profile to try and get a new job. Both of which need some new connections. You can find me on Google+ here and Linkedin here. I look forward to hearing from you. While you do that…

Happy 2018 Everyone!

Welcome to 2018, my darlings! May this year be better than the last one.

Good news, chapter three of Steel Prison has been edited! I am hoping for snow this week. I was told that I was going to get some this week. My first day into the new year’s been pretty good. Got some writing done. Work’s been picking and I did some jobs on the first day. I will do more jobs tomorrow. I will get paid next week too.

What shall we be looking forward to? Well, I will try to get in editing of chapter four of Steel Prison. I still intend on getting that published some time this year. Not just for the ebook either, I intend to do hardcover and maybe send it to a publisher. I will still be fixing  my site to get rid of the Photobucket pictures. Some things will be finished. I am going to start new project to tide me over for waiting to start the next season of my Wasteland Project. (The waiting is going to suck like always.) I will work on a one-shot Durarara omake to go with the Wonderland series. I might do another one shot pilot for the Wasteland Project. For now on that one, I just have bits and pieces. I will try to get a full-time job while I’m at it.

That is so much to promise in one day, but it is doable for me. Also, these aren’t New Year’s Resolutions. I never make those. But, I am determined to make this year better than last year. Wish me luck. While you’re at it…

Focus Came Back, but Now I Feel Lazy

Well, I am getting back on task at least. But now, I have another little problem with my writing. I feel lazy– not just with writing, but it my need for escape. I am still looking for a job and I am still on so much inspiration and ideas for writing. However, this week I will attempt to break my own runt.

I am still looking for a job again. I created a profile on Linkedin to help increase my chances. (I’m already looking on Indeed.com and Talent Zoo.)  Hopefully, I will get something to get me moving again. I enjoyed having a job in the short time that I had one. Plus with more money, I could get better replacements for Pinky and proper editor. Let’s hope I can do that really soon.

As for writing, I will try to act on some ideas and look for new inspiration for my work. Yesterday, I discovered a YouTube channel called Creepy Plays. Sweet! I now have something to work with just in time for the Wasteland Project starting next Monday. Maybe this week, I will look through my folders of inspirations I have on Chrome. I also have my music on Audiosplitter. (I just learned that there are more albums in the City Lounge series. This should be delightful to make a new playlist or two. My original City Lounge playlist was too big and it was a pain to arrange it due to the size. Plus, there is another playlist that I have to fix up on Audiosplitter.)

In any case, wish me luck on my “quest” and…

Some Bad News and Some Good News

Bad News: My contract job has been terminated because I didn’t measure on my first job. Oh well, I applied for four more writing jobs. Let’s hope that something sticks.

Good News: Six Days is now up and ready for reading. Here is the promotion for it:

Title: Six Days

Summary: Everybody goes through their routines without thinking about their actions. What happens when the ordinary motions of life drive a young woman to snap after six days of the mundane.

I only have six more books to re-format. Pretty soon, I will be publishing real books again. Until then…

Working and Waiting

I finally have a job! I’m doing contract work for resume writing. I still need a full-time job, but it’s a start. For now, I am a happy camper.

Now, I have four more weeks until I start season five of Wasteland 2011. Plus, I still have re-format my short e-books. Other than that, I don’t really have much else this week. My Memorial Day was good. I watched anime and played Sims 4. Plus, I binge listened to an Australian reality show about searches in airports while my mother watched it on Netflix. I am going to go back and play more Sims 4. While I do that, you can…

It’s Time to Let it Go Already

How do you work on a project before you realize it’s time to wrap it up/let it go? I have been working on this Fullmetal Alchemist fanfic since 2007. That would make it nine years by now. Nine years. NINE YEARS. Yeah, I told myself it was time to wrap it up. I am trying to bring the smut-supernatural-fueled fanfic that I call Anaconda to an end. I mean, I have worked on this for nine years. It’s time to let it die and move onto other fics. The only question is what will I tackle after Anaconda is complete? I have a whole sack-full of things that I need to resume. And that’s not even counting what roams freely in my head.

Meanwhile, I am still on the hunt for a full-time job. I REALLY NEED A JOB BY THIS POINT. I don’t really fit for my part-time job and I seriously need to get away from it by getting a real job. Luckily, I have been applying for most of last week. I will start applying again tonight after I finish my homework. Wish me luck. For now…

Five Years Already?

March 11, 2011, an earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. Shortly after that, the country suffered from a nuclear melt down. It has been a long time, but the country is recovering nicely. I am happy that my favorite country can bounce back from tragedy. I am confident that they will have a strong future for years to come.

I haven’t checked on how Distorted Lullaby is doing. I will promote it again in another group this evening. Bride in Black is edited and waiting to be re-published. I wonder what I will edit next after that. I might finally be able to replace Pinky’s keyboard. (Pinky is my laptop.) I also got hooked onto a new show on HBO called Animals. I don’t know what to think about it, but I have to keep watching to try and figure it out. I’m also getting out my summer clothes this weekend. Yes, I am still job-hunting. -.- But, I will keep trying. For now…

It is February and I Have Made a Little Progress

Here we are into the second month of 2016. How have I do with my plans so far? I finished editing my Cardcaptor Sakura fic and now I am caught up with the version that I have on Mediaminer. I do not know when I will get inspiration for the rest of the six volumes to follow. Go by and check it out here: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10953042/1/Sakura-Sushi.

So, what’s next? I am finishing up the Director’s Cut version of my fanfic poem, Wasteland 2011. When I will fix up the fics that follow, I have no idea just yet. When am I going to edit my actual published work? I will get there soon. I do have plans to release a Cut and Polished edition to a Yami no Matsuei fanfic of mine on Valentine’s Day.

In real life, I am still looking for a full-time job. I have put in applications, but no word yet. I guess I will keep looking again this month. I do need the money to pay for a professional developmental editor. I am slowly climbing through the pile of work that I have been neglecting for quite some time now. Bad me, bad! *Smacks herself on the hand* I will get better and break my laziness. I did make the effort during the last for days in January. *Flashes the V-sign*

Let’s see how this month goes…

I am Starting to Make a Little Progress

Last night, I edited chapter nine to my Cardcaptor Sakura fanfic and posted it on Fanfiction.net. I only have three more chapters to go. Next, I will edit my Wasteland 2011 project. I might be able to get caught up/finished with some of my fanfics before spring and start editing and reformatting my e-books.

There are still some other things I need to do, however. I still need to find a full-time job, get a developmental editor, and promote myself more. There are how many days left in January? Also, my earbuds finally broke. Currently, I am using an old spare pair, but the sound quality is really off in that set. Now I have to buy a new pair as soon I get my money for cleaning aunt’s house this week. Technology can be so annoying at times.

I’ve had Muse on the brain lately and I don’t know why. I mean, they are alright and the page on them on TV Tropes make them seem more interesting. The band does have some songs I do like and I am using their music for a story that I started today. I don’t know what to tell you. I just wish that I had my snow this year. I want to wake up to a pretty white wonderland, damn it! Grrr! *Calms down and clears her throat*

Anyway, that’s it for now.
