Moving to New Stage in the Game

I have decided to go a more traditional route with my publishing. I have been self-publishing with ebooks. But, now I want to go the traditional way of publishing with Steel Prison. I’ve had people edit it many times, including my mom. I sent it through Nano in 2009. The current of the manuscript count is 48,827 words and 109 pages long. I feel that it could be a bit longer. What I am looking for is a professional developmental editor. I have started my search and made a list comparing prices and their selling comments. In the past, I have used beta readers. But since this is going the traditional way, I decided to step it up and go professional. So far, I contacted an editor I follow on Google+, five editors on Linkin, and one of the writers from a writer chatroom that I frequent gave me a link to a bunch of editors. I haven’t checked the website yet, but I will do it tomorrow. I know that professional editing is not cheap and I don’t have that kind of money at the moment. So, I will make comparisons and come down to the most reasonable price that I can try and scrape together.

I also want to look for a literary agent as well. Ideally, I want to find one before Christmas. I have a website to start my search. I will start to look on Independence Day. Wish me luck, everyone. While I look for an editor and an agent, you can…

The 3-0 is Coming for Me and I Don’t Know What to Do for Saturday

That’s right, folks. In six days, I will says goodbye to my 20’s. I don’t know what I’m doing Saturday. I want to spend the day with my mom and cake. Other than that, I don’t know what I’m doing this year. I wanted to go to Richmond, but that looks like a no-go.

I have new job now. I write articles for a women’s online magazine. I have been writing an article a day. I have an idea of what I’m doing tomorrow. My favorite so far was talking about female superheroes.

Is it bad that I want February to be over now? I am getting bored with this month. I can’t wait for March to come so that I can get onto newer projects. I will probably wrap up some things while I am at it. Suburban Island is going on nicely. I will wrap it up in April. Then, I will have present a one-shot story set in England in May to get into the Wasteland Project. Speaking of April, I will make an announcement about season seven on the main stories. But first, I have to get through the rest of February. On a happier note, I am going to see Black Panther tomorrow. I might do a review for it the next day. Oh, why is April so far away? For now…

Happy 2018 Everyone!

Welcome to 2018, my darlings! May this year be better than the last one.

Good news, chapter three of Steel Prison has been edited! I am hoping for snow this week. I was told that I was going to get some this week. My first day into the new year’s been pretty good. Got some writing done. Work’s been picking and I did some jobs on the first day. I will do more jobs tomorrow. I will get paid next week too.

What shall we be looking forward to? Well, I will try to get in editing of chapter four of Steel Prison. I still intend on getting that published some time this year. Not just for the ebook either, I intend to do hardcover and maybe send it to a publisher. I will still be fixing  my site to get rid of the Photobucket pictures. Some things will be finished. I am going to start new project to tide me over for waiting to start the next season of my Wasteland Project. (The waiting is going to suck like always.) I will work on a one-shot Durarara omake to go with the Wonderland series. I might do another one shot pilot for the Wasteland Project. For now on that one, I just have bits and pieces. I will try to get a full-time job while I’m at it.

That is so much to promise in one day, but it is doable for me. Also, these aren’t New Year’s Resolutions. I never make those. But, I am determined to make this year better than last year. Wish me luck. While you’re at it…

Christmas Will be Coming

Both Christmas trees are up. (My grandmother’s and mine.) I will go Christmas shopping tomorrow. (A big part of it, anyway.) I still have a huge load to work on. My Netflix list is shrinking again. I will be done with this series called Dad of Light  by Thursday. I might finish another one before 2017 is over.

Speaking of which, I will try to get onto editing Steel Prison over the holidays. I am just about done with chapter two last time I checked. I am so close, but yet so far away. I am aiming to have Steel Prison published by next year. I have gotten back into playing Sims again. I missed this game so much. It feels so good to be playing again.

I am still waiting for 2017 to be over so that I can start having a better year in 2018. While I do that, you can…

New Book Publishing in the Works

Good news, everyone!

Sometime in June and July, I will be publishing a book that I have been sitting on for years. The title will be called Steel Prison. I have been it through Nano and the now-defunct Autonomy. I will have it beta read to get it polished up one more time. (It’s been edited a good number of times. I forgot how many.) There was a cover for it on Autonomy, but I think I lost that one. I made a cover during my college years for like a hard cover copy for a digital photo editing class, but it’s the wrong image format. Speaking of hard covers, this might be my first book that I will have made into a hard copy along with ebook. I will see if that turns and if it is possible.

Stick around and see everything unfold, until then…

So Close to Thirty, but So Far Away

Yes, that is right. I am one more year closer to the big 3-0. It doesn’t feel like it yet though. Still, I can’t wait to see how Friday will go for me. I can’t wait, to be honest with you.

I have no big projects planned for next month. I’m just going to keep writing as usual. I do plan to finish a story or two next month. My Netflix queue is shrinking again. I’m not down to six items. I have made some really good progress in that department this month.

It’s kind of hard to write something here when I’m not posting the City Lounge Project. (I’m resuming the New York section this Thursday.) Speaking of which, book one of the project will be finished by April. Then, it will cycle back to Paris for book two. Hm… Maybe I should post showcases of my fanfics to fill the non-posting in between. If I do that, I will have to tact on another day in the week for posting. For now, I will focus on adding more to New York in the project. Stick around for volume two of Dreamland in April. Until then…

Welcome to 2017!

Here we are into the new year. What shall we look forward to in 2017?  Well, there are the usual projects to look forward to. In fact, I will add a new chapter to the City Lounge: London book this week. I am working on an update to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire”. I keep finding more news events to put down on the list. Once I get enough events, I need to figure it out to back it together. I have about six more years to fill up before I can to do that.

I want to focus on writing more smut. I already have two short pieces being looked at on a writer’s board. For now, I will wait for feedback and try not to be lazy this time. Plus, I want to write new material. It’s burning inside of me, but I have to get it out. I need a way to get it out! I will have to see and try not to be lazy at the same time. Wish me luck. I know I can do it. Hopefully, new creativity, ideas, and inspiration will crop up and move to write better than I did last year. For now…

Project Announcement

My darlings, I come to you with another project idea that I plan to write. This is going to be another story in this blog and it’s going to be based off of the Erotic Lounge series. All I can tell you is that this will be steamy. I will still be working on City Lounge. In fact, I will wrap up the first book of Berlin next month. In fact, I will start on the first book for London in the same month.

I don’t know what 2017 will bring. I hope to make more money with my job and get more material published.

Wish me luck!
