I Need Some Recomendations

I am feeling lazy again with my watching things. I did start Inside No. 9 last week and the first episode was quite interesting. I might go back to it when I’m not so lazy. Fixing the pictures on my site is going well. It’s still going to take me a long time to change those pictures from Photobucket to Imgur, but the Chrome extension, Fix Embedded Photobucket Images, just made it a little bit easier for me.

Meanwhile, I’m waiting for American Horror Story: Cult to start up in two weeks. In the meantime, I am looking for something new to latch onto to help break my laziness and get me back into the rhythm of watching my backlogs again. Anybody have any ideas? Comment below in the comment section. While you’re at it…

In Need of Something

I want something exciting. I could watch some of the stuff I loaded up on my Hulu list, but I have to beat my laziness first. I could resume my anime watching again, but I’ve too lazy from that too. I’m slowly burning through my podcasts. (I estimate that I will be finished with one of them by the end of this month.) I wish to read more, I’m too lazy. Sims 4 is starting to get boring, but I think I just need a new way to play it. I keep stalling with Durarara x2 with Netflix. I have been watching videos from Double Toasted, but that isn’t enough anymore. I did watch a video on Angry Joe’s channel today, but that’s about it. I did video the Batman and Robin Hilariousity video from Chris Stuckmann’s channel for a little bit, but then I went back to work. Last night, I listened to Lara Thompson read that god awful Harry Potter fic, My Immortal, and critique while I played Sims 4.

<Sigh>

Maybe, I will just stuck up and get over my laziness and pick back up with Misfits. Wish me luck, but for now…

Rating System

I thought of this while I was in bed last night. I decided that if I ever get off my ass and start reviewing anime/Japanese movies/J-Dramas, I will put in place a rating system. It will go zero through ten and the names will be all of the following starting from ten downwards. These might be subjected to change if I come up with better labels for them:

10: Shut Up and Take My Money!

9: Download

8: Rental

7: Stream

6: Kill Time

5: Meh

4: Could be Better

3: Nothing Else On

2: Garbage

1: Background Noise

0: Fuck This Shit!

I think that’s good for now. And while you’re at it…

So Close to Thirty, but So Far Away

Yes, that is right. I am one more year closer to the big 3-0. It doesn’t feel like it yet though. Still, I can’t wait to see how Friday will go for me. I can’t wait, to be honest with you.

I have no big projects planned for next month. I’m just going to keep writing as usual. I do plan to finish a story or two next month. My Netflix queue is shrinking again. I’m not down to six items. I have made some really good progress in that department this month.

It’s kind of hard to write something here when I’m not posting the City Lounge Project. (I’m resuming the New York section this Thursday.) Speaking of which, book one of the project will be finished by April. Then, it will cycle back to Paris for book two. Hm… Maybe I should post showcases of my fanfics to fill the non-posting in between. If I do that, I will have to tact on another day in the week for posting. For now, I will focus on adding more to New York in the project. Stick around for volume two of Dreamland in April. Until then…

A Brief Announcement

I would like to take this time to make a brief announcement to you beautiful people:

I am looking to publish volume two of Dreamland somewhere between March and April. It might be before or after I go on vacation. I will have to see how my schedule looks before I send it off to the beta reader. Meanwhile, I am still moving my site. I have taken to fixing some of the music on some of the sections. I’m shocked that sixteen years could total up to so many pages. Tomorrow, I will be posting some things as gifts as Valentine’s Day.

Meanwhile in my little life, I have been burning through my Netflix queue. I’m down to about nine to ten items left on the list. I kind of wish the American Netflix had more anime and Japanese movies and TV shows. They used have A LOT of Japanese movies, but most of them disappeared. <sigh> It’s a shame, really. Maybe when they faze out their DVD section maybe we’ll see a bigger selection in the American Netflix.

Also, my car is currently being served. (Yippy, not!) I’m waiting for Toyota call back and that it’s ready. It’s not like I really need it right away, though. (I work from home as freelance writer.) Still, I would like to have my car. I need to put gas in it too.

Anyway, be on the look for volume two of Dreamland. Until then…

Worst Movies of 2015

So yesterday, I went on YouTube and typed in “Bad Movies 2015”. As I watched through a few videos, I noticed quite a few kept popping up on many lists. Note, these are in no particular order:

Fifty Shades of Grey (Shocker! For some reason, I get a sick and twisted delight when people bash this movie. Is that weird?)
Pixels (Adam Sandler is involved, no surprise there. Luckily, he came out with another “Hanukkah Song” last year, so we can forgive him for his crappy movies.)
Pan (I’ve heard the the Nirvana cover song, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” on YouTube. I think even Kurt Cobain is confused by this.)
Taken 3
Aloha (A half-Hawaiian guy in one YouTube video said this was a movie for white people.)
Fantastic Four (This franchise can never catch break.)
Hot Pursuit (Nobody seems to like this movie!)
The Gallows
Jupiter Ascending (Nobody seems to like this movie either.)
Mortdecai
Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (It looked stupid from the trailers.)
Seventh Son
Blackhat (This is from the man who gave us Public Enemies. That was a boring movie.)
The Boy Next Door (No surprise there, J.Lo’s in it. She’s also in Shades of Blue. I wonder how long that will last before it gets canned.)
Lazarus Effect
Hot Tub Time Machine 2
The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence) (I read the wiki page for the first movie and decided, never going to see this franchise. All aboard the nope train to fuckthatville! Somebody should find Tom Six and stomp him in the nuts repeatedly.)
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension (I saw Paranormal Activity: Tokyo Nights and it was boring. Plus, it was poorly subbed! Boring + Poor subs= Crappy movie)
Knock Knock

Now, I haven’t seen any on these, but some of them I can guess just by looking at them that they were doomed to fail. What do you think? Agree? Disagree? What are your picks for the worst 2015 movies? Post your picks in the comments.

Sayonara 2015!

This marks the last entry of this blog for 2015. I still can’t believe that this year is almost over. Anyway, I only have to big goals for 2016:

  • Find myself a developmental editor
  • Promote myself more

I will need a little help with the first goal. Does anyone know where to start? Please send me your comments. I will look for an editor for a reasonable price with high skills. I can do the second goal by myself.

Other than that, I will watch Clockwork Orange, wear my kimono, have Japanese food, and bake cookies on Thursday. Oh yeah more writing. Right now, I’m going to wrap up and go to bed. Night.

Thinking of Something to Say…

I need to be more social on social media. More connection equals getting my name out there. The problem is that I am so lazy with this type of thing. Plus, I can’t really think of anything to say at times. I will give it a shot today.

I have gotten back into Sims 4 lately. I got some new mods into the game and can’t wait to try them out.  First, I will watch the original Omen and then test it out. Hopefully, I will have more time today. Work just takes up much at times.

Anyway, I’m onto a new anime today. It titled, “Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman.” It’s an old anime, but I will give it a try. Speaking of old things, I have finally seen The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby. They weren’t really scary, but they were greatly executed. I will let you know what I think of The Omen.

Anime Review

From my Author Page on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NoizCanjoCJJ

“Just finished “Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion.” This isn’t your typical magical girl anime. It’s not as sweet and light-hearted as it pretends to be in the first half. I won’t spoil too much of it. For that, you will have to watch the anime, “Puella Magi Madoka Magica.” Back to the review. I enjoyed the movie as much as I did the anime itself. In short, the Madoka franchise is DARK. It starts out cutesy and then it blindsides you with heavy emotion and twisted imagery. However, both the anime and movie are worth watching. Fun fact, the franchise is based off the play of “Faust.” After a little digging, I can see how. Overall, I give “Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion” a “shut up and take my money!” (10/10.)”

Fun with David Lynch

This week, I watched Mullholland Drive. This makes my second film by the director, David Lynch. (My first was Lost Highway.) I still can’t figure out what Lost Highway to this day. I can somewhat understand what was happening in Mullholland Drive, but it gets confusing when the two females leads go to the club. Which one was better? So far, they both seem about the same for me. Yet, they both were on my “Mind Fuck Movie” list and I had to watch them and they fuel my Wasteland 2011 fanfic project.

Next month, I will watch Blue Velvet. This will make my third Lynch film that I will have seen. I’ll let you all know what I think about it. (Don’t spoil anything for me! I want to at least pretend to be surprised.)

That’s it for now.
