I Need One More Film for My Asian Horror Month

I have been watching mostly Thai horror films this year. I don’t know what it is, but I think Netflix struck up a deal with Thailand and are streaming a lot of Thai horror movies. Some of them are meh and couple of them are that bad. Only two of them were good. I got in one crappy Indonesian film and one good Vietnamese film. No K-horror this time. I did manage to find some J-horror. There will be one Filipino film tomorrow. It’s bit tit-for-tat with searching.

I need your help. I just need one more film for Halloween. I am going to re-watch Tag and Kairo for the last two days of this month. I just need one more movie to wrap up Asian Horror Month 2018. I am open to suggestions. Post your J-horror suggestion in the comments below. In the mean time…

Itching to Play Sims Again

I haven’t been playing much Sims 4 lately due to going overtime with my writing. Last week was the worst. I would just run out of time. I don’t know what happened. I would have to push myself to being up until three in the morning. I do not like this. I only got to play my game on Saturday and Sunday. Maybe this week will be different.

So far, I have almost all of my work done. Tomorrow will probably be a short day. I am still watching Asian horror films and reviewing them. I’ll be done with a story tomorrow. And then I will be done with another story in ten days. Wish me luck.  Meanwhile, you can…

Ju-On Timeline

I have always loved the Ju-On movies. (Not the Final Curse or Sadako VS. Kayako or Recon: The Movie as I love to call it.) I watch them every year in the beginning of October. Every time I watch them, I start to notice things that I haven’t before. One example is with the continuity error with Kanna’s jaw in Ju-On: The Curse and Katasumi. This year,

I think I have the time line of the original movies figured out. These are the Japanese movies. Not counting the anniversary films, the retelling, or Recon: The Movie.

Toshio Saeki was born in 1985. He died when he was six. That would be in 1991. Kayako Saeki died in 1991, starting the curse with the death of Shunsuke Kobayashi, his wife, and Takeo Saeki.

The Murakami family, Mizuho, and Yuki had to have died between 1992 to 1993. The Suzuki family, the Kitada family, and those two police officers on the case died between 1993 to 1994. The events in The Grudge took place in 1996. One of the police in that movie said it had been five years. Saori, Izumi, Chiharu, and the events in Grudge 2 had to have happened in the early 2000’s.

Did I miss anything? Let me know.

It’s That Again!

September and LGBT Scream are finished. We are now into October. I am just going to write some sappy fluff and watch Asian horror films. That’s right, Asian Horror Month is here. I will be watching film movies from the continent of Asia. And then, I will post the reviews on my Facebook page and a couple of Asian horror film groups that I am part of. I will start off with the Ju-On series, like I do every year. (This year, I am skipping the last two because they are garbage.) I have found a handful of movies on Netflix. But, I still need your help.

I need some recommendations for Asian horror films this month. If you have any ideas, comment in the comment section and while you’re at it…

Autumn is Here

Summer is officially over. Autumn is now here. Time for the pumpkins, Halloween, all things horror, Thanksgiving, and food to rain down upon us. Put away your summer clothes and get out your hoodies. I will get out my winter stuff in a few weeks. I also have some things to work on as well.

October will be the time I let loose with the horror on my Wasteland Project. Plus, I will be doing some romantic fluff pieces as well. I have some plans for Halloween. Again, I will be doing Asian Horror month. Look forward to that. LGBT Scream is about to wrap up on Sunday. Brace yourselves for an active fall. For now…

I am Back

I have survived the storm.

I lost power Friday evening. I managed to finish my drafts before the battery in my laptop got too low. Power came back Saturday, but I had no internet. So, I played Sims and wrote to pass the time. The internet finally came back up on Sunday. So, I played catch up with my posting and writing. And now, here I am. I am alive, my home is okay, and my work is done.

I finished The Innocents today. The pacing is good and they didn’t reveal who the bad guys was until the season finale. I wonder what they are going to do for season two next year. Next, I will watch the movie, Threads. And then maybe check out The Conjuring. I will see how I fill. I need some new podcasts though.

Oh and I am resuming City Lounge: Berlin tomorrow. Until then…

Counting Down and Planning

May is coming to an end in a few days. Within two weeks, it will be June. That means new projects are coming. I can’t wait to start on season seven of my Wasteland Project. The Earth Child season finale will be coming up on the seventh. Volume three of City Lounge: Paris will wrap up next month too. But don’t worry, I’ll start volume three of City Lounge: Berlin. Writing isn’t the only thing I am looking forward to either.

I will get to finish the live action version of Erased on Netflix. (I only have two episodes left.) Then, I’m going to watch From This Corner of the World next. Then, it’s off to Hulu to watch some episodes of Moone Boy. Before that, I will be done with season one of Some Girls. So much stuff to watch, including the 2009 movie, Moon.

On top of that, I will vacation in June at some point. Can you believe that we’re about halfway through 2018? Time keeps running away from us. I’m just happy to be getting some stuff done.

Oh and Photobucket freed all of the pictures. They are under new management now. I guess they realized that they screwed up with charged $399 for embedding pictures and now they are trying to woo them back. That leaves me with one thing: Should I just leave all of the pictures on my website I didn’t convert to Imgur or should I keep moving them to Imgur like I have been doing since last year? Either way, I still have to fix the music and other small glitches on my site. Oh boy, it’s going to take me a while. I was insane in my younger years with the posting, but it’s well worth it. While I ponder this dilemma, you can…

Last Day of Camp

I’m on the last story in the collection. I am up to 48,989 words. I will be finished by today. May will bring new projects into the works. I will work on a short story that I will post on the nineteenth. There will be other short stories and the usual annual projects for May.

It will be nice to not have so much to work with. May brings me closer to work on the Wasteland Project again and I get to work on new things in May. I am about to try and get caught up on my Netflix list. Maybe Hulu too. I could have Patient X beta read and try to go back to editing Steel Prison again. So much to do in thirty-one days. Where do I even start? I’ll sort it out. I might even finish some things in May. I will have to see. I do know if I will do camp in July because I don’t know what to write. Oh and we will go back to Paris in the City Lounge in May. Look forward to all of that. For now…

The 3-0 is Coming for Me and I Don’t Know What to Do for Saturday

That’s right, folks. In six days, I will says goodbye to my 20’s. I don’t know what I’m doing Saturday. I want to spend the day with my mom and cake. Other than that, I don’t know what I’m doing this year. I wanted to go to Richmond, but that looks like a no-go.

I have new job now. I write articles for a women’s online magazine. I have been writing an article a day. I have an idea of what I’m doing tomorrow. My favorite so far was talking about female superheroes.

Is it bad that I want February to be over now? I am getting bored with this month. I can’t wait for March to come so that I can get onto newer projects. I will probably wrap up some things while I am at it. Suburban Island is going on nicely. I will wrap it up in April. Then, I will have present a one-shot story set in England in May to get into the Wasteland Project. Speaking of April, I will make an announcement about season seven on the main stories. But first, I have to get through the rest of February. On a happier note, I am going to see Black Panther tomorrow. I might do a review for it the next day. Oh, why is April so far away? For now…

Things I Have Learned from Hollywood in 2017

  1. If you can’t shoot 10-15% of your movie, abort the project! Abort and regroup.
  2. Four-year-olds do not always have the best ideas.
  3. It’s time to let crappy franchise die and stay dead.
  4. Enough with remaking old shows and anime/manga! Come up with something original for a change!
  5. Making a movie about emojis was never a good idea and it never will be.
  6. Do not edit your movie down for a PG-13 just so can make more movie if you intended your film to be rated R.
  7. Can we please give Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba better material to work with?

If you have any more you would like to add, add it to the comment section. While you’re at it…
