I am Back

I have survived the storm.

I lost power Friday evening. I managed to finish my drafts before the battery in my laptop got too low. Power came back Saturday, but I had no internet. So, I played Sims and wrote to pass the time. The internet finally came back up on Sunday. So, I played catch up with my posting and writing. And now, here I am. I am alive, my home is okay, and my work is done.

I finished The Innocents today. The pacing is good and they didn’t reveal who the bad guys was until the season finale. I wonder what they are going to do for season two next year. Next, I will watch the movie, Threads. And then maybe check out The Conjuring. I will see how I fill. I need some new podcasts though.

Oh and I am resuming City Lounge: Berlin tomorrow. Until then…

A Little Public Message

To everyone on the East Coast of America:

Please be careful out there. There storm will be hitting this week. Charge up everything. Keep spare batteries. Have enough flashlights and candles. Get the camp fire and generator ready. Gas up the car and vehicles. Stay in doors. I am declaring pajamas over the last weekend. You should do the same.

Please be careful

Brexit Sinks Further Into the Ocean

Well, it has happened.

Boris Johnson is gone! He has resigned this morning. Theresa May is screwed. It looks like Brexit might be canceled. I was told no, but it’s just getting worse by the day. I love England as much as I love Japan, but they and the rest of the UK didn’t think this through. They are like a little kid who told their parent that they were running away, but didn’t pack any food, water, clothes, money, or even plan out a destination. I am just over here shaking my head. Maybe they will cancel Brexit or get back into the EU in some way. Who knows?

Meanwhile, you can…

Dear Tony

Dear Tony,

We lost you at sixty-one.

We happened that it was all alive.

But, not meant to be.

You left behind a daughter, a girlfriend, and a void in our hearts.

No more exciting trips around the world.

No more snarky comments.

No more brutal honesty.

No more making your liver cry.

No more animals fearing your visits.

No more fish laughing at your failed fishing attempts.

No more delicious food.

No more insights of wisdom.

No more speaking up for the good of people.

No more… you.

Vacation and Wrapping Up in June

Later on this month, I will going on vacation for a week. Saturday and Sunday will not let me have internet access then. So, I am going to try something while I’m vacation. I will write the last two chapter of City Lounge: Paris volume three in a Word document and see if I can set the post on WordPress to post in the future. I will need to get the songs I need for them first. Plus, I will try to get one day online to make my post. Luckily, I won’t have that much to post that week. Just a couple of chapters and a preview. I might get to do some editing on Steel Prison while I’m there too. Plus, some other shorts I want to publish too.

Speaking of which here is a list of things that I am going to wrap up this month:

  • Gentleman’s Club (Volume Twenty-Four)
  • Two volumes of Dreamland
  • Reposting last season’s Tengoku.Chikyu.Jigoku
  • A couple of other previews
  • Volume Three of City Lounge: Paris
  • Season eight of Earth Child

Plus, I get to start season seven of my Wasteland Project on the last Monday of this month. I can’t wait. Until then…

City Lounge: Paris (Book Three, Chapter Thirteen: Sweet Shop Downtown)

Chapter Thirteen: Sweet Shop Downtown:

“We have one more place to go,” Simone told me after dinner.

“And where would that be?” I asked. She turned to me with a smile on her face.

“Mama’s favorite sweet shop down here,” my love said. “Jean-Paul Hévin!”

“Jean… what?” I asked. My girl giggled.

“Come along and you will see,” she said. I smiled and shrugged.

“Okay,” I said. When I first looked at Jean-Paul Hévin, my jaw dropped. I thought I would die from a diabetic coma just by looking at everything they had on display. Chocolates, bars, macarons, and pastries. I blinked and rubbed my eyes. More

City Lounge: Paris (Book Three, Chapter Twelve: Simple Dinner in Paris)

Chapter Twelve: Simple Dinner in Paris:

Simone led us into the downtown part of Paris. I’ve seen this place before, but it never fails to surprise me.

“This never gets old,” I said. I pulled Simone close by the waist. “Lead the way.” I whispered above her head. My girl giggled as we walked down the street. We ended up at a restaurant called Il était Un Square.

“What do you think?” she asked. I blinked at first.

“Isn’t this a bit too…?” I began to ask.

“What?” she asked. I shook my head.

“No, it’s fine,” I said. Simone led me inside. The red paint on the walls made me feel a bit underdressed. My love didn’t seem to mind. I turned to her. More

Status Report: Camp is Winding Down

There are seven days left in camp. The Patient X story keeps getting longer, but I will try to wrap it up by tomorrow or Wednesday. Then, I will try to finish those last two stories in the collection to meet my 50,000 word count. Suburban Island will end in two days. I got scouted for a publishing collection. I think I have the story in mind that I want to publish. I will look over it when I finish Patient X.

Next month, I am working on a short story related to the Wasteland project. I will post it on Inkitt on May 19th. Plus, there are some other stories to finish. I am counting down to June so that I can work on season seven on of the Wasteland Project. Right now, I will see how much I get done from the rest of the week because I have jury duty.  (Fun, right?) I am confident about finishing Patient X and Suburban Island this week and on time. For now…

City Lounge: Paris (Book Three, Chapter Five: Lunch on the River)

Chapter Five: Lunch on the River:

Around noon, Simone turned around with a smile on her face.

“Are you ready for lunch?” she asked. I raised my eyebrow.

“What do you have in mind?” I asked.

“Eating lunch on the Seine river,” Simone said. “We’ll see the view and enjoy a nice meal.”

“Oh?” I asked. I’ve heard of these type of tours, but I’ve never had the money or the time. She took me by the hand.

“My treat,” she said. Once again, her words put me back under her spell. I just had to see where this lunch on the Seine was going. More

What Do I Want to Say?

Work’s been good.

I’ve had a productive weekend because of it.

I’ve been burning through many podcasts.

I just changed my 365 subscription for a cheaper version.

I am done with this week’s chapter of Suburban Island.

I can’t wait to post chapter three of Mad World.

I don’t have much to say tonight.

I am just waiting for March to be over,

And then I can go onto new projects

And wrap up Suburban Island.

And make announcements for the seventh season of the Wasteland Project.

<Sigh>

But for now…
