Chapter Eleven: Walking Around in Paris… Again:

Simone looked up at me. “Do you want to do more shopping or go get dinner?”

I shrugged. “Depends on you.”

“Sometimes, I would like you to lead the way,” my love says. I would love to, my dear. But, you have all of the power. I just happily follow you wherever you go. Simone snuggled up to me in the rain lightening up.

“I feel like walking around some more,” she said. I nodded a little bit.

“Sounds good to me,” I said. Simone smiled and giggled. Good thing that the rain is starting to stop. Paris still looks good in this weather. Texas looked so dull in the rain. I felt Simone’s head against my shoulder.

“Tell me about Texas,” she said. I gave her a strange look.

“Why?” I asked. “There isn’t much to talk about it.”

“You must have something,” Simone said. “Come on, give me something.” I sighed and dropped my shoulders.

“Alright,” I said. “Everything is big in Texas.”

“How big?” my love asks.

“We pride ourselves on being bigger than Europe itself. We like beef, country and guns.”

“Ooo!” Simone shivered. I smiled as I got into story-telling mode.

“We may not be as elegant as Paris itself, but we are the rugged men of the country. You are the rich princess, I would the geeky cowboy.” I saw her eyes lighting up with even word.

“Tell me,” I said. “What are the beaches like here?” Simone looked at me with a confused look on her face.

“You’ve never been to the beach here?” she asked. I rubbed the back of my head.

“I wasn’t much of a person who got out much when I first came here,” I said. “Beaches in Texas were okay. I just want to see them here in Paris.” Simone smiled with her eyes on me.

“Okay,” she said. “We can do that.”

“Thanks,” I said. By now, the workday was starting to end. People were hurrying home. Children with their parents were either asking for sweets or food. I turned back to my girl.

“Your place or mine tonight?” I asked.

“Which do you feel like going to?” she asked.

“Your place,” I said. “We’re always going to mine.”

“We can do that,” I said. I leaned down and kissed her on the cheek. My girl giggled. I caressed her on the shoulder. It almost feels like a romantic French movie. Paris’ reds, oranges, and yellows are just beautiful as its greens in the summer. I just wish that it wasn’t raining so much right now.

“Why does Paris always look like a painting?” I asked. Simone shook her head.

“I don’t think so,” she said.

“Why is that?” I asked.

“I’ve lived here 24/7. I think Texas is beautiful.”

I all but laughed. “Texas may be big, but it’s not beautiful.”

“I’ve seen it in pictures. I think Texas is beautiful in its own way.”

“If you say so.”

“I know so.”

“Whatever you say.”

We came down to the trendier side of Paris. I looked down at my beloved.

“What do you feel like eating?” I asked. “Something fancy? Something simple? You know, we already did fancy for lunch. Why not do something simple for dinner?” Simone looked up at me.

“Are you saying that you want dinner now?” I asked.

“Just a thought,” I said. “We can just keep walking around for a little bit more.” I noticed her smiling up at me.

“What?” I asked.

“I like when you make decisions in the situation,” she said. I couldn’t help but smile.

“I like when you lead,” I said.

“Is that right?” she asked.

“Yes, in fact it’s sexy when you lead,” I said. I playfully grabbed her by the waist and nuzzled her on the cheek.

“Ooo!” she cooed. “I feel that we should get something simple for dinner.” I kissed her on the cheek again.

“Sounds good to me,” I said.

“Would it surprise you to hear that I know just the place?” she asked.

“No, but I would love to see where this day out takes us next,” I purred in her ear. Simone giggled as I nibbled on her ear.

“Ooo, are you hungry for something other than food?” she asked. “Are you hungry for me?”

“Maybe,” I said. I couldn’t help, but to kiss her again.

“I might be able to help you with that hunger after dinner,” she said. I couldn’t help but pout like a sad little puppy.

“Are you really going to make me wait that long?” I asked. Simone turned to me with an angelic look on her face.

“The more your teased later, the sweeter the prize,” she purred. She squeezed me on the ass. I about jumped at the sudden movement.

“So it is true,” I said. “France really is the country of love.” Simone smiled at me like a hungry cat.

“You are right there,” she said. Yes, my sexy witch. You know I am right. Simone took hold of my hand.

“But first, we are finishing our little walk,” she said. I sighed as I smiled.

“Okay,” I said. “Whatever you say. ” I do have to admit that Paris in the autumn evening would look so appealing. I felt like I was walking around in an art magazine.

“You know something,” I said. “We should walk around Paris at night more often.”

“I like the sound of that,” Simone said.

“I don’t know what it is,” I said. “But, somehow you made Paris that much better for me.” Her lips curved into that sexy smile of hers.

“I’m so glad that I could help you there,” she said. I kissed her on the cheek once more. I just loved hearing her laugh.

“You think it’s going to be raining all night?” I asked.

“I don’t know,” my love said. “Why do you ask?” I shrugged and shook my head.

“No reason,” I said. I looked up at the sky as more rain fell from the sky.
