Controversial Album Covers III (Pt. 18)

Year: 2004

Cannibal Corpse: The Wretched Spawn

The Problem: Most albums by death metal band Cannibal Corpse were banned in Germany until June 2006, due to the graphic cover art on their albums. For example, Tomb of the Mutilated featured one corpse performing cunnilingus on another. The censored version features a further corpse presumably watching the act (not shown) in adoration.
My Take: Well, here is the last controversial cover from this band so far. And they decided to go back to being morid here. Reminds me of Aliens in a sense. I think whoever designed this had been watching too many J-Horror films when they came up with the idea for this.
