Controversial Album Covers III (Pt. 1)

Yes, yes, my children. It’s that time of the year again. Time for more controversial album covers. Here to start us off:

Year: 1966

Bob Dylan: Blonde on Blonde

The Problem: The original inside gatefold featured nine black-and-white photos, including a shot of actress Claudia Cardinale that Dylan selected from Schatzberg’s portfolio. Since it had been used without her authorization, Cardinale’s photo was subsequently removed, making the original record sleeve a collector’s item.

My Take:  At least she’s not naked. Still, Dylan should’ve asked for permission. Never hurts to do so.
