John Lennon and Yoko Ono: Woman is N****r of the World

The Problem: John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s single Woman Is the N****r of the World was one of the first album covers to openly use that term.

My Take: I can see what Mr. Lennon is trying to say with women in this song. (He says that women are being mistreated around the world like blacks were in the earlier days.) But does he have to use the N-word? Couldn’t he have picked a better word than that? I’m just saying…
